It is important to protect inventions because they enable the transfer of results to socio-economic sectors, constituting a fundamental element to promote technological innovation and socio-economic benefit.

As research staff, it is of paramount importance. do not disclose the invention by no means before notifying the OTRI. We will advise you on how to publish while maintaining the proper protection of the results.

The Research Results Protection Area of the OTRI-ULL is a unit specializing in the management and advice on industrial and intellectual property, which offers the following services to the University Community:

• Information on the different types of protection
• Intellectual Property Registry
• Trademark Application and Management
• Application, Processing and Monitoring of Patents and Utility Models
• Promotion and Dissemination of the Patent Portfolio
• Negotiations with interested companies, license agreements.

How is protection provided at the ULL?

2. We will schedule an interview with you when necessary.
3. We will issue a protection report indicating which method is best suited to protect your results and we will take care of managing it.
