The FRUTTMAC project is a broad-based R&D&I collaboration between research centers, universities, and companies, with the active participation of regional and island public administrations, as well as various professional associations. It is a comprehensive project that aims to improve the foundations for the sustainable development of tropical fruit farms in Macaronesia, thereby fostering greater resilience to new challenges such as the already observed climate change. To this end, three main objectives have been established: the efficient use and accessibility of plant genetic resources, the promotion of sustainable farm management, and the diversification of the commercial offering, both locally and for export.
