Area of Philology and Philosophy (FFI)

It covers two main areas: Philology and Philosophy. The philological area encompasses the study of Language and Literature and their relationship to culture and society. This includes works that approach these disciplines from a theoretical or general perspective, as well as those that focus on specific languages or literatures from any historical period. Research on Translation and Interpreting, as well as the development of technological applications and resources related to language and literature, also falls under this sub-area. As for the area of Philosophy, its research addresses the more general questions of the study of reality, the possibility of our knowledge of it, human nature and the place of humankind in the world, and all those general methodological and conceptual discussions raised by the specific sciences.
