Device for increasing the surface area of heat exchange in Stirling engines

Engineering and Architecture

The invention relates to a system for improving heat exchange between the internal gas and the jackets of the hot and cold chambers of a Stirling engine. This system can be applied to any configuration of this engine—alpha, beta, or gamma—and allows for improved thermal efficiency by minimizing the addition of dead volume within the chambers.
