System for controlling devices through tongue movement

Engineering and Architecture

The system consists of two easily placed magnets, one on the tongue and the other on the outside of the mouth. The position of the tongue is calculated from the magnetic fields, and this position is then used to control various devices such as wheelchairs, computers, etc.

Applications

– The control system is applicable for use by people with motor disabilities, primarily quadriplegic.

Competitive advantage

– Easy placement and calibration.

– Size system little and design ergonomic.

– Get a gradual movement and controllable, being able to regulate the speed of movement.
