Competitive Research Projects

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=»2/3″][vc_column_text]La Unidad de Apoyo a Proyectos Competitivos de la OTRI da soporte al personal investigador vinculado con la ULL en la solicitud, gestión y justificación de proyectos a nivel regional, nacional e internacional. La unidad facilita el desarrollo de propuestas y la gestión administrativa y económica para la captación de fondos en distintas convocatorias competitivas. Los servicios y actividades genéricas de la unidad son:

  • Design and implementation of an institutional plan to increase the number of projects submitted to competitive calls for proposals.
  • To serve as an information point for research staff on the different funding instruments and calls for proposals.
  • Searching for the most appropriate call for proposals based on the research lines of a specific researcher or group.

International Projects

Within the unit, the international projects division's main mission is to help ULL research teams attract funding through competitive calls for international projects, with a special focus on the European Commission's H2020 and Interreg programs.

Specifically, the main functions to be performed are the following:

  • Guidance on preparing European proposals, budgeting and procedures through the different platforms.
  • Support in the establishment of consortia in collaborative projects by connecting ULL researchers with other centers of excellence and/or companies.
  • Organize information sessions and workshops on international research programs and calls for projects.

National and Regional Projects

Within the unit, the national and regional projects division is responsible for assisting research teams in monitoring and managing projects of the national R&D plan, regional projects, the University of La Laguna's own plan, and projects of other entities.

Specifically, the main functions to be performed are the following:

  • To assist with the bureaucratic burden of research staff, who manage and apply for research and transfer projects.
  • Supervisory tasks regarding the eligibility of expenses for competitive projects.
  • Assistance in the preparation and processing of monitoring reports and final reports of competitive projects.
  • Performing tasks related to searching for calls for proposals, as well as monitoring and evaluating the projects carried out.
  • Guidance for researchers in the planning of projects in specific calls for proposals.
