Promoting cohesion among the Macaronesian outermost regions through a common ICT platform for biomedical R&D&I (MACbioIDI)

The project addresses the development, transfer, private investment, and global commercialization of medical technology. Clinical trials are essential, particularly for the clinical thermography product, which must demonstrate its diagnostic potential in terms of sensitivity and specificity according to the proposed clinical applications. The introduction of training materials into the educational systems of the participating regions will open up opportunities for the medical technology companies receiving the transfer and will be accompanied by an international investment and commercialization strategy involving specialized promotional entities, along with the interested companies. An ICT-based infrastructure will enable collaboration and resource sharing among participants, identifying excellent scientific and technological capabilities potentially applicable to medical technology that already exist in our regions.
