The objective of this project is the development of innovative solutions from a technological, regulatory, social and economic point of view for the aggregation of distributed generation plants, residential and community energy storage systems and electrical and thermal demands in the form of smart microgrids or hybrid renewable generation systems adapted to the reality of each region.
This project analyzes and implements technical solutions, regulatory frameworks, and operating models for a new scenario of integrating renewable energy sources into island and weak electrical systems. MICROGRID-BLUE proposes an innovative technological, regulatory, remuneration, and social paradigm for the energy sector in the Canary Islands and West Africa. Furthermore, the project's fundamental objective is to stimulate external investment for the installation of pilot systems in the Canary Islands, Senegal, and Cape Verde.
