Human histology. General embryology

The book "Human Histology. General Embryology" covers the most relevant aspects of our ontogeny: the origin and differentiation of gametes, fertilization and its consequences up to the beginning of the fetal period, and the basic cytogenetic concepts necessary to understand the alterations that occur during meiosis. It consists of four sections: gametogenesis, fertilization and its consequences (from the first to the third week of development), the germ layers and their derivatives, and cytogenetics (techniques, mutations, numerical chromosomal abnormalities, and structural chromosomal abnormalities).

This new volume in the “University Teaching Materials” collection is undoubtedly an ideal text to prepare the student for their training in Special Embryology (from an anatomical perspective) and to subsequently tackle General and Special Histology.
