Humboldt in the island's bibliographic collections

The Alexander von Humboldt Cultural Chair at the University of La Laguna is organizing the exhibition "Humboldt in the Island's Bibliographic Collections," open at the General and Humanities Library from January 23 to February 23. The exhibition aims to showcase Humboldt's oldest works held in the island's collections and, at the same time, to provide an overview of the current state of scholarship on the naturalist's work and thought, illustrating it with some recent and noteworthy publications. The selected pieces, numbering around forty, come primarily from the University of La Laguna's holdings, supplemented by a number of items loaned by various institutions and libraries in Tenerife.
