This volume brings together three works on conceptual aspects and empirical evidence related to patents and patent systems that were never published in their original form in books or specialized journals, nor did they receive the dissemination we know they deserved. We believe they may be of interest to researchers in the fields of innovation, technological change, intellectual property rights, and, of course, to anyone interested in patent statistics and their use.
This publication is intended as a humble academic tribute that some of his collaborators and friends wish to pay through the University of La Laguna, to the memory of Professor Miguel Sánchez Padrón, Professor of Applied Economics at the University of La Laguna.
