Book Day Exhibition 2024
The 2024 Book Day exhibition is titled Making history: the Archive of the Democratic Transition in the Canary Islands of the Library of the University of La Laguna.
During the period encompassing late Francoism, the Transition and the consolidation of democracy, there was a great political, social, trade union and cultural effervescence in the Canary Islands.
The proliferation of organizations and the intensity of political and social action generated a huge amount of written documentation (magazines and newspapers, manifestos, pamphlets, leaflets, internal working documents, etc.), but also graphic documentation (posters, stickers, photographs…), sound recordings and audiovisual documentation, which has been gathered around this Archive project in our Library.
