Formación académica fundamental: I graduated in Psychology from the University of La Laguna with an Extraordinary Mention in 2003. I obtained an FPU scholarship to do my doctorate.
I obtained the degree of Doctor with cum laude from the University of La Laguna in 2008. After 3 years involved in a scientific program linked to the private sector, I obtained a position as Assistant Professor in the Department of Cognitive, Social and Organizational Psychology in 2012. Since November 2022 I am Full Professor. I have 2 six-year research periods and 2 five-years teaching periods.
Breve currículo profesional genérico: My research has focused on the study of dehumanization and their relationship with other psychosocial processes, as well as the study of new forms of prejudice and stereotyping. My work explores dehumanization, how people fail to consider other people’s minds, and ways to overcome this extremely negative form of social perception. I’m especially interested in the study of mentalizing and the link with empathy and emotion regulation in healthcare contexts.
 I have published the results of my research in these areas in 35 articles in high-impact journals included in JCR such as Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, Social Psychology, Group Processes and Intergroup Relations, International Journal of Psychology. I have an H-index: 16 and have received over 800 citations (Google Scholar). In 2023, I have been co-editor of a monographic issue in Current Opinion in Behavioral Sciences (Q1 journal) on dehumanization.
 In addition, I have given guest lectures and seminars at the Université de Genévè (Switzerland), University College of London (UK) and University of Eastern Finland.
 I have experience in leading and management of research projects. I have been PI of 1 MINECO project of excellence, which is active. In addition, I have participated in ten research projects. I have formed a solid team consolidated in the Social Cognition Lab from University of La Laguna (https://humindlab.com/). I supervised two doctoral theses in 2016 and 2017, and currently I’m involved in the supervision of four PhD students. I've supervised more than 15 master's degree final projects.
 At an international level, I have organized a Medium Size Meeting financed by the European Association of Social Psychology in 2022. Likewise, I have been part of the organizing team of the IV and V International Congress of the Spanish Scientific Society of Social Psychology (SCEPS). In 2023 I receive a Research Award from University of La Laguna.

- Participation in more than 20 national and international conferences, with more than 40 contributions.

- Guest editor of Current Opinion in Behavioral Science (2023).
- Research Award: Premio a la investigación categoría Junior de la Universidad de La Laguna (First Edition, 2023, ex a equo).
