How is the level of digitization of a company assessed?
It's a complex task, which is why the vision of our experts has been fundamental. It was considered evaluate digitization in 12 dimensions (or areas) technological that have been seen as vitally important according to the extensive experience of our experts.
For each of these 12 dimensions, a question was designed with its corresponding answers, each with an associated score. In this way, the level of digitization of the company in each area is estimated.
"Level of digitization" refers to the percentage of the score relative to the maximum possible.. This level can be the overall level of a company or group of companies, or it can be the level of a specific area or group of areas. To make the company level more user-friendly, a classification of six possible levels is shown: very low, low, medium, medium-high, high, and excellent.
On the other hand, to visualize the level of digitization of the areas in a more user-friendly way, the excellent areas (level of digitization >= 60%), the areas that can be improved (40% <= level of digitization <= 60%) and the areas that should be strengthened (level of digitization < 40%) are presented separately.
To gain a broader perspective on a company's areas, five main blocks have been defined, encompassing the 12 dimensions. These blocks cover Data Analysis and Visualization, Online Presence, Staff Training, Alerts and Controls for Business Management, and also consider information on key departments based on the model of the Michael Porter's Value Chain.
