Guidance and tutoring
The Guidance and Tutorial Action Plan (POAT) of the Nautical, Machinery and Naval Radioelectronics Section, in which the Marine Technologies Degree is framed, is framed within the requirements for improving the quality of teaching provided for in the Internal Quality Assurance System (SGIC) of the School.
Quality Assurance is a fundamental aim of university policy and a cornerstone upon which other essential best practice criteria for the verification and accreditation of official programs are based, in accordance with the provisions of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). In this context, student guidance and mentoring become a necessity and a key element of quality.
The Section's Annual Work Plan (POAT) is conceived as a sustained effort with a broad timeframe. The rationale behind such a plan is the growing understanding of the relationship between, on the one hand, student learning and outcomes (along with teacher satisfaction with their performance) and, on the other hand, student guidance, quality tutoring, and adequate information.
The POAT is coordinated in the Section by María del Cristo Adrián de Ganzo (madriang@ull.es) and is integrated into the POAT Commission of the Higher Polytechnic School of Engineering
