School board and committees

Functions of the School Board

In accordance with the Statutes of the University of La Laguna, the Board of the Higher School of Engineering and Technology is responsible for the following functions (Article 16 of the Internal Regulations of the ESIT):

  1. The School Board is responsible for carrying out the following functions:
    1. To define and approve the School's policy of action, both in terms of teaching and in terms of its administrative and economic regime.
    2. To approve the teaching organization plans of the School and to propose and report the modification of its study plans.
    3. Approve the distribution of funds allocated to the School charged to the Budgets of the University of La Laguna.
    4. To supervise and be aware of the performance of the collegiate and individual governing bodies of the School and its services, in accordance with the provisions of the second section of this article.
    5. To perform any other functions assigned to him by the higher governing bodies of the university or recognized by current regulations.
  2. The supervisory function of the School Board, established in point d) of the previous section, shall be exercised as follows:
    1. The Director must report on their management and that of their team at least once every quarter or at the request of the
    2. 25% of the School Board members.
    3. The people who hold the presidency of the Commissions regulated by this Regulation must give an account of their management when requested by the School Board by simple majority.
    4. The provisions of articles 181 and 182 of the Statutes of the University of La Laguna shall apply to the raising of a question of confidence or the presentation of a motion of censure.
