The Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism considers it essential for training in the subjects taught therein to establish a series of annual conferences, which are called COMPANY WEEK, as a vehicle for connecting future graduates with the economic and social life of our immediate environment.
These conferences have a long tradition, each addressing topics considered particularly relevant at the time. They have facilitated professional networking among business leaders, social partners, and academics, and have also provided valuable insight into the economic and social landscape that future graduates will face, enabling them to align the necessary skills and training with current societal needs.
Although these sessions were initially intended primarily for those graduating each year, that is, for those in the final years of their degree, however, given their importance and quality, in recent years they have been extended to all students of the center.
By addressing, from different perspectives, the state of the socio-economic reality in which we find ourselves and the challenges that must be faced, we have opened it not only to the rest of the students of our University, but also to groups interested in the different topics that are analyzed.
ACADEMIC YEAR 2020-21
This year marks the 35th Business Week, entitled: “Achieving SDG Goals through Economics, Business and Tourism”. The aim is to analyze the degree of compliance with the Sustainable Development Goals in different areas of action. These goals constitute the pillars upon which the actions of various stakeholders, both public and private, are intended to be based in the coming decades.
It takes place on April 28, 29, and 30, with the participation of various social and economic stakeholders who, through seminars, meetings, and activities, complement our students' training. These sessions serve as a complement to the educational activities carried out at our center, as they facilitate interaction between students and public and private entities, where they learn firsthand about successful business ideas and projects, which will serve as a reference and guide for them.
We remind you that this activity is included in the Official Catalogue of Activities of the University of La Laguna to be carried out in the second semester of the 20/21 academic year. Therefore, those students who register for the sessions and attend a minimum of 80% of the sessions and carry out the proposed activity, will be able to obtain official recognition of 2 ECTS credits. To do so, they must access the attached link before April 26th at 12:00 pm and enroll in the virtual classroom (password XXXVSE)
https://campusvirtual.ull.es/entornos/course/view.php?id=971
Once the Business Week is over, the task requested of the students will be evaluated and a list will be established of those students who meet the required conditions, allowing them to obtain the two credits.
