The Post-graduate Programme of the University of La Laguna presents a high-quality range of Master and Doctorate programmes in Bio-medicine and Bio-technology comprising the Qualifications of University 'Master in Bio-medicine' and 'Doctorate in Health Sciences', which are the responsibility of the Faculty of Medicine of the ULL, from an academic point of view. The essential objectives are to initiate a teaching and research career in bio-sciences and to build capacities for professional practise in public and private institutions related to molecular diagnosis, bio-technological development and bio-medical innovation

  • To train researchers to know and respect the procedures of scientific method and to be able to plan and execute, in a solvent fashion, research tasks and to interpret their results and draw conclusions from them that push the boundaries of scientific knowledge and contribute to solving social and economic problems
  • Develop a capacity in students to use current techniques in the fields of research relating to bio-medicine, that enable them to engage in research tasks in laboratories of both public and private centres
  • Train expert professionals in analytical techniques of molecular biology and their bio-medical applications
  • To offer multi-disciplinary training in areas of knowledge relating to Bio-medicine
  • Graduates of this master will be experts in molecular biology analytical techniques and their bio-medical and/or bio-technological applications. They will have the capacity to use current techniques in the fields of research related to bio-medicine, enabling them to engage in research tasks in laboratories in both the public and private sector

  • Profile 1: Graduates in Biology, Pharmacy, Medicine, Chemistry or Veterinary Medicine. Other qualifications offering access to the programme are Biochemistry, Bio-technology, Science and Technology of Food, Human Nutrition and Dietetics
  • Profile 2: Nursing, Physiotherapy, among others. Depending on the specific profile of each candidate, the Academic Committee may indicate that the student must acquire supplementary knowledge with a view to their integration and to make the most of the course
