Double Degree in Nautical Studies and Maritime Transport and in Marine Technologies

Recognition and transfer of credits

The recognition of credits in the Double Degree in Nautical and Maritime Transport and in Marine Technologies is based on the equivalence between the common subjects of both degrees, allowing to avoid duplication of training and optimize the academic path.

The program includes automatic recognition of shared subjects between the two degrees, especially in areas such as:

  • Physical and mathematical fundamentals applied to engineering.
  • Chemical fundamentals applied to the ship.
  • Shipbuilding and ship theory.
  • Ship's auxiliary systems.
  • Maritime legislation and regulations.
  • Graphic expression.
  • Maritime safety and survival at sea.
  • Computer fundamentals.
  • Electrical engineering and electronics.
  • Marine medicine.

Likewise, the Final Degree Project is developed in an integrated manner for both degrees, although it must be registered and graded in each of them.

The double degree does not include credit recognition for:

  • Higher Level Vocational Training Cycles.
  • Professional experience.
  • Participation in university activities.

The recognitions will be made effective once the credits required to complete the double degree have been passed and the grade of the recognized subjects will be calculated by weighted average of the corresponding credits.
