Internships

The External Internship course in the Economics Degree at the University of La Laguna is mandatory and aims to provide students with professional development. Internships are carried out in companies or institutions with an agreement and do not constitute an employment relationship.

There are two types: curricular (mandatory, part of the curriculum) and extracurricular activities (volunteers).

Curricular Practices

  • Requirement: It is essential to have enrolled in the course during the current academic year and to have passed 150 credits of the curriculum.
  • Duration: 300 hours in total (12 ECTS): 245 hours at the institution, 5 hours for completing the final report and attending tutorials, and 50 hours dedicated to improving oral and written expression in English.
  • Each student has an external tutor (from the company) and an academic tutor (from the ULL).
