Infrastructure for clinical practices

As the EUENSC is the owner of the Canary Islands Health Service, it has the same healthcare infrastructure, both in terms of specialized care and primary care.

The NSC University Hospital and the Health Centers where students complete their clinical placements are accredited as teaching centers.

The school's students carry out internships in the following areas:

Health centers belonging to the Canary Islands Health Service:

  • Candelaria-Ofra University Hospital Complex:
  • Our Lady of Candelaria University Hospital
  • Ofra Hospital
  • Primary Care Centers. Tenerife Health Area
  • University Hospital of the Canary Islands
  • Teaching Unit of Family and Community Medicine.
  • External Area of Psychiatry.

Centers related to drug addiction care:

  • Drug Addiction Care Unit (UAD).
  • Day center of the San Miguel Youth Cooperation Association.
  • HUC Hospital Treatment and Detoxification Unit.

Regulations

The general university regulations, both national and regional, as well as those of the ULL, governing internships for official ULL degrees, are as follows:

  • Royal Decree 592/2014, of July 11, regulating external academic internships for university students (Official State Gazette of July 30, 2014)
  • D. 168/2008, of July 22, which regulates the procedure, requirements and evaluation criteria for the authorization of the implementation of university teachings leading to the obtaining of official Bachelor's, Master's and Doctorate degrees of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands
  • Agreement 5 b/CG 28-5-2020 of the Governing Council of the University of La Laguna, which modifies the Regulations for external internships of the University of La Laguna (approved by agreement 6/CG 20-12-2017 of the Governing Council of the University of La Laguna and modified by agreement 4/CG 09-05-19 of the Governing Council of the University of La Laguna)
