The University Institute of Tropical Diseases and Public Health of the Canary Islands is a multidisciplinary institution, affiliated with the University of La Laguna, comprised of professors, researchers, and professionals in the fields of Public Health and Biotechnology. Its primary function is research, development, and innovation in these areas. By Decree 59/2013, of May 16, the University Institute of Tropical Diseases and Public Health of the Canary Islands was awarded the Gold Medal of the Canary Islands.
