TIG contacts

The Thematic Interest Groups (TIGs) Members of the STARS EU Alliance play a key role in knowledge generation. Their contribution to society, through the creation of innovative products, both public and private, is a process that involves researchers and scientists, as well as technologists, educators, students, local entrepreneurs, and civil society leaders. They are all deeply involved in crucial areas such as the circular economy, the energy transition, digital transformation, the arts and creative industries, healthy aging, living spaces, and entrepreneurship and innovation.

In addition to playing a decisive role in boosting the priority areas of STARS EU, which makes it essential to support the research community involved in them, the TIGs are consolidating themselves as real spaces of opportunity to develop new lines of work that complement and expand those already existing.

The University of La Laguna participates in all the TIGs and is responsible for leading the Energy Transition TIG and co-leading the Healthy Ageing TIG.

Student Board

The Student Board is composed of three representatives from each of the nine STARS EU partner universities. In addition to participating in the decision-making process, the board advises on the development of academic programs, mobility activities, innovation projects, and other strategic initiatives of the alliance. It also acts as a bridge between the student body and the alliance management to ensure that student needs, ideas, and perspectives are integrated into the planning and implementation of STARS EU activities.
