Library and equality

The Library committed to Equality

The Library has a Social Responsibility Policy where support and promotion of equal opportunities without gender distinction is included, the promotion of the fight against gender violence, as well as the commitment to the promotion of equality between the sexes by fostering actions aimed at this goal and including the gender perspective in daily activity.

Equality Space in Education

The Equality section is located on the first floor of the Education Library. It is an open space where you can find a collection of up-to-date general interest books and a more specialized collection comprised of donations from the Harimaguada collective and Professor Fernando Barragán on sex education, homosexuality, gender studies, and feminism.

Three spaces are distinguished:

  • Space for screenings, workshops, talks, book presentations, etc., with capacity for 100 people.
  • Work table area.
  • Rest and reading area

This space may be requested by members of the university community or by external organizations or associations to carry out academic or cultural activities.

The activities that take place will be aimed at the entire university community and the general public, unless they correspond to a specific academic activity.

Preference will be given to activities that incorporate a gender perspective and, in any case, the Library reserves the right to accept or reject the application.

Please note that no commercial exchange (sale of products, merchandising, etc.) or catering of any kind will be allowed inside the Library.
