Development of “Smart” Self-Immolating Anti-tumor Pro-drugs. ProInmo.
One of the major challenges in cancer treatment today is developing a drug that can act specifically where needed, increasing its effectiveness and minimizing side effects. Here we present prodrugs that exploit some of the subtle biochemical differences that characterize tumor cells to selectively activate the drug within them.
