Psychology Area (PS)

It encompasses the scientific study of learning, cognitive, emotional, motivational, personality, interpersonal, and social processes in human beings, as well as the methods for measuring them. The fundamental objective is to understand the role of these processes, and their neurofunctional bases, in both individual and collective behavior, and in their development from childhood to old age. The resulting knowledge is applied to diverse aspects of human activity such as family, education, physical activity and sports, organizations, labor relations, and law, as well as to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of health problems.
