In 2016, a program was launched to support research activity with high transfer potential, aimed at developing advanced technological products that impact the market and have a possible commercial exploitation in priority sectors for the island economy.The Agustín de Betancourt program, financed by the Tenerife Island Council and framed within the MEDI-FDCAN 2016-2025 Program, focuses on qualified, competitive human capital with high technological training who, through the annual "Agustín de Betancourt" (AdB) calls, undertake the development of projects with high transfer potential.The AdB and its projects also have the support of a research team from the University of La Laguna and a company that endorses and actively collaborates on the projects.
