Critical incidents as a strategy for training science teachers

This paper describes the use of critical incidents as a training and professional development strategy for secondary school teachers, aimed at integrating teaching practices with their theoretical training. The diversity of teachers' approaches, and the opportunity to reflectively analyze classroom situations that are usually resolved spontaneously, lend great power to the described strategy.
