Educational Psychology

This material is aimed at Psychology students and, in particular, falls within the subject of Educational Psychology.

Following a first chapter of framing on “The role of the psychologist as a psychoeducational advisor”The material is organized into two modules.

The first module, under the heading of “The teaching-learning scenario and instructional design”, contains the chapters “Teaching and learning models: From theory to practice”, “Planning the teaching and learning process”, “Keys to maintaining motivation and building knowledge” y “Classroom Management: Rescuing the Main Contributions of the Behavioral Paradigm”. The main objective of this module is to develop the necessary skills for designing and implementing training programs. This has a dual focus: enabling future psychologists to design and implement these programs themselves, and also to advise other professionals on how to carry them out. The module concludes with a practical activity. “Teacher support”.

The second module, “The student and the learning process”, It contains three other chapters “Student variables that modulate their ability to learn”, “Intellectual and socio-emotional enrichment”" and "“Learning in the areas of knowledge”. The main objective of this second module is to develop the necessary skills to evaluate the learner's strategies and abilities and formulate guidance for their optimization. This module concludes with a practical activity. “Psychoeducational support for students”.

Each chapter begins by clearly stating its objectives and concludes with the main questions the student should be able to answer after working through it. These questions include open-ended reflections and practical scenarios. Within each chapter, the writing is clear, engaging, and illustrated with numerous examples.
