The 2030 Agenda is a key common tool for advancing and implementing a new paradigm of sustainable development, sustained over time, at the international, national, regional and local levels.
This action plan involves a common and universal commitment, adapted to our reality.
We urgently need to act now, from all areas, in the decade of action that lies ahead.
The University of La Laguna, as a center of scientific knowledge that works for training, research and the transfer of knowledge to society, has a great responsibility.
Those of us who are part of this institution are committed to the 2030 Agenda and work within our areas of expertise, in a coordinated manner, to raise awareness, be role models and contribute to the sustainable development of the Canary Islands and the world.
The United Nations declaration “Transforming our world: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development” is one of the most ambitious and far-reaching global agreements in recent history. It is humanity's hopeful blueprint for change, striving for equality among all people, leaving no one behind, and ensuring a better planet for future generations. University Social Responsibility in the 21st century entails working diligently to achieve the goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
