Functions of the Faculty Board

According to the EUENSC General Regulations, the functions of the School Board are:

  1. To discuss and monitor the general lines of action of the EUENSC.
  2. Draft and amend the EUENSC Regulations.
  3. Prepare the teaching guides for the subjects.
  4. Monitor compliance with the teaching and scheduled tutoring that corresponds to them.
  5. To make general proposals on academic management, which will be submitted to the competent body for consideration.
  6. Carry out cultural and complementary training activities related to their respective professional fields.
  7. To establish the role of the teacher-tutor who will guide the student in the development of their academic curriculum.
  8. To receive and discuss the General Report of Activities for the academic year, the report on the teaching and research activity carried out during the year, the multi-year program and the Economic Report.
  9. Adopt resolutions intended to express the opinion of the academic community on the situation of the EUENSC or on issues of social relevance.
  10. Question the Director/nanny and the members of their team.
  11. Gather as much information as you deem necessary about the functioning of the EUENSC.
  12. To assist the Governing Council in the performance of its functions.
  13. To elect their representatives to the Governing Council.

Composition

According to the EUENSC General Regulations, the composition is based on:

  1. The following are ex officio members of the School Board: the Director, who will preside over it, and the Secretary of Studies, who will perform the functions of secretary of the School Board.
  2. It will also be composed of sixty members chosen from among the faculty, students and administrative and support staff, in the percentages established for each sector by the statutes of the University of La Laguna.

Commissions

According to the EUENSC General Regulations, as many committees as deemed necessary may be created to assist the Governing Council and the Directorate in the performance of their duties. The operating rules of the committees created within the School will be drawn up by the committees themselves and must be approved by the EUENSC Governing Council.

As expressly indicated in the Affiliation Agreement with the University of La Laguna of July 29, 2009 (Twelfth Basis) and in order to organize and supervise the teaching activity in the Center, the Academic Commission and the Monitoring Commission are created whose functions and composition are included in said agreement.

COMMISSIONS DEPENDENT ON THE SGIC
Currently, the following committees are in operation: Quality Committee, Clinical Practice Committee, Final Degree Project Committee, and Student Mobility Committee.

COMMISSIONS DEPENDENT ON THE SCS-ULL AFFILIATION
To ensure the proper fulfillment of the agreements contained in the affiliation agreement between the Canary Islands Health Service and the ULL; Two committees remain active:

  • Academic Commission
  • Monitoring Committee
