The Nuestra Señora de Candelaria School of Nursing is affiliated with the University of La Laguna and operates under the Canary Islands Health Service and the Nuestra Señora de Candelaria University Hospital. Students begin their hospital placements in their second year, where they are guided by academic tutors and nursing professionals from La Candelaria to acquire the necessary knowledge in inpatient areas as well as in medical and surgical specialties.
