Law School Building

The Faculty of Law is located on the Guajara Campus, as stated in the section “General information”The building is the oldest on the campus and dates back to the first third of the 1980s. Initially, it was shared with the Faculty of Economics, but when the latter moved to its own facilities in the 1995-1996 academic year, the vacated spaces were occupied by the School of Social Work and various departments teaching law degrees. Currently, the building is shared with the Faculty of Social Sciences and Communication.

Classrooms

The Faculty of Law has traditionally been characterized by a high number of students, both in the Law degree (first Bachelor's and then Degree) and in Labor Relations (first Diploma and then Degree) as well as master's degrees such as the one in Occupational Risk Prevention, Doctoral programs and own degrees of various nature.

The Faculty has fourteen classrooms of varying sizes, distributed across the ground floor (on sublevels 0, 1, and 2). Sublevel 0 houses the main entrance and the library. Sublevel 1 contains the study hall and the "Gumersindo Trujillo" Auditorium. Sublevel 2 houses the cafeteria and the rear entrance to the building (from the Guajara Campus). Their capacity ranges from twenty-seven to two hundred and sixteen seats.

The classrooms are both tiered (as was the case in a teaching model prior to the European Higher Education Area) and flat. All of them have projectors, computers for teaching staff, and some have a sound system.

In addition, the Faculty of Law has a courtroom for mock trials and, shared with the Degrees in Sociology and Social Work, two computer rooms.

  • "Tomás y Valiente" Classroom. Capacity for one hundred people. Equipped with projection equipment and simultaneous translation booths.
