The Final Degree Project (TFG) is an independent work undertaken by the student under the supervision or guidance of one or two people. It consists of the student individually completing a project, report, or study that demonstrates their acquisition of the competencies specific to their degree.The final degree project (TFG) may be a theoretical, practical, or theoretical-practical work, or a literature review and research project on the aspects outlined in the degree verification/modification report and included in the course syllabus. Under no circumstances may it be equivalent to a master's thesis or dissertation.

Students in their final year may enroll in the Final Degree Project provided they have passed all subjects from previous years, with the exception of passing, at most, one compulsory subject and one optional subject.The registration for the Final Degree Project (TFG) will take place within the same deadlines established for the rest of the subjects or courses in the curriculum of the corresponding Bachelor's Degree.
The Final Degree Project (TFG) will be carried out under the supervision of a tutor who must be a professor or research staff member with teaching responsibilities assigned to an area of knowledge that teaches in the Degree in question, as established in the Teaching Organization Plan for each academic year.
The tutor's role will consist of setting the specific topic of the work, explaining to the student or group of students the characteristics of the final degree project, guiding and supervising during the preparation of the work, ensuring compliance with the established objectives, issuing an evaluation of the tutored final degree projects, as well as guiding and advising the student in the preparation, presentation and public defense.
The face-to-face activities of the TFG subject will consist mainly of tutorials, although other training activities of different types may be considered (seminars, workshops, collective tutorials, etc.) intended to guide the student on the structure of the work, the methodology, the treatment of the topics, the bibliographic orientation and its correct presentation.In addition to the aspects contained in all subjects, the following is included in the TFG teaching guide:
Final Degree Projects (TFG) will be carried out using the general modality. At the end of the first semester, a period will be established for students of each degree to request the line of work in which they wish to develop their TFG, by means of a letter addressed to the coordinator of the TFG subject, indicating in order of preference the lines in which they wish to work (Annex I).
The Quality Committee, after analyzing the provisional assignment proposals submitted by the Final Degree Project (TFG) course coordinators, will approve and publish the provisional assignment proposal, taking into account, as far as possible, the preferences expressed. Based on the number of students enrolled in the TFG course for each degree program, the corresponding groups will be established, ensuring that each group is associated with a specific line of research.
In the event that there is a match in the preferences of the students and the quota of the group has been filled, the following criteria will be applied: the preferences expressed by the student in the order of priority of the TFG lines and the academic record.
The provisional list of course assignments will be published in the course's virtual classroom before the start of the second semester. Once the provisional list is published, a period for appeals will be established, after which the final list will be published. Any subsequent modifications must be decided by the course coordinator, provided they are authorized by the section's Quality Committee, and will be duly publicized.
Students will have the right to present, defend and be graded on the Final Degree Project in the calls established for the subjects of the same duration, in accordance with the annual academic calendar, provided that they have passed all the ECTS credits of the degree.
Students must upload their final degree project (TFG) report to the virtual classroom for the final degree project (TFG) within the established deadline. The report must be submitted in PDF format or in the format specified in the course syllabus. Students must also submit the TFG itself via the procedure available on the online platform, also in PDF format or in the format specified in the course syllabus. The report must adhere to the style, format, and presentation guidelines outlined in the course syllabus.
To ensure consistent evaluation, the Quality Committee—after consulting with the Final Degree Project (TFG) coordinators—will establish an evaluation protocol with indicators for aspects deemed evaluable, such as structure, content, oral presentation, defense, etc. This protocol must be followed by the faculty responsible for evaluating the TFGs. The final degree project (TFG) must be presented and defended in person and publicly before the supervising professors. Both the presentation and the defense will be evaluated during this session. The Quality Committee may authorize an online defense if circumstances warrant it. The TFG defense will consist of an oral presentation of its content or main points, lasting a maximum of 10 minutes. Following this, the student will answer questions posed by the supervising professors for a maximum of 10 minutes.
The final degree project will not be eligible for approval by compensation, nor may it be subject to adaptation or recognition.
