Teaching Support Staff

The support staff involved in the degree is mainly made up of administrative and service staff (PAS) from the ESIT and the departments that teach in the degree, as well as other services that cover the set of activities carried out in the exercise of teaching (Library staff, staff from the Virtual Teaching Unit).

Specifically, the support staff that participates in training activities or collaborates in teaching support tasks in the degree include:

  • ESIT Administration Team Staff. Made up of one position from each of the following categories, six in total: Centre administrator, dean's administrator, centre manager, collaborator, base administrator and administration specialist technician.
  • Concierge staff: one Officer and two Concierge assistants. This composition allows the ESIT Concierge to remain open all day.
  • ESIT Computing Centre Staff (Technical Staff): one IT graduate, one IT graduate, two IT officers.  
  • University Library Staff: a Head of the Science and Technology Section, a person in charge of the Computer and Industrial Engineering Fund and two Library Officers also associated with the Computer and Industrial Engineering Fund.
  • Technical support staff for teaching laboratories. In the case of departments in whose laboratories a large part of the practical teaching of the degree is carried out, this staff is distributed as follows:
  • Department of Industrial Engineering: two Specialist Technicians and one Officer.
  • Department of Computer and Systems Engineering: one Specialist Technician.
  • Physics Department: one Specialist Technician and two Officers.
  • Department of Chemistry: four Specialist Technicians and four Laboratory Officers
  • Administrative staff of the departments that teach courses in the degree program. This staff also provides indirect support to the teaching of the degree program by handling related tasks such as the partial management of the Academic Planning Plan, departmental budget management – which can lead to improvements in the material resources available for teaching the degree program – and the management of faculty positions with future teaching assignments in the program. Currently, the departments that teach courses in the degree program are: following:
  • Mathematical Analysis
  • Special Public and Private Law and Business Law
  • Business Management and Economic History
  • Physics
  • Agricultural, Nautical, Civil and Maritime Engineering
  • Industrial Engineering
  • Computer and Systems Engineering
  • Mathematics, Statistics and Operations Research
  • Chemistry
  • Engineering and Architecture Techniques and Projects

The staff of the Virtual Teaching Unit (UDV) in charge of managing the Virtual Campus and therefore, the Virtual classrooms for the subjects of the degree and those created specifically for the management of aspects related to teaching (teaching coordination classrooms in the environment of Schools and Faculties).
