Internships

The External Internship course for the Tourism Degree at the University of La Laguna is compulsory and aims to provide students with professional development. These internships are carried out in companies or institutions with an agreement and do not constitute an employment relationship.

There are two types: curricular (mandatory, part of the curriculum) and extracurricular activities (volunteers).

Curricular Practices

  • Requirement: It is essential to have enrolled in the course during the current academic year and to have passed 150 credits of the curriculum.
  • Duration: 450 hours in total (18 ECTS): 375 hours at the institution, 15 hours attending tutorials, and 60 hours devoted to preparing the Final Report on the internships and activities proposed during the academic tutorials.
  • Each student has an external tutor (from the company) and an academic tutor (from the ULL).
