Specific objectives

Based on the overall objective of developing excellent, translationally oriented biomedical research focused on regional biosanitary needs, the specific objectives of the ITB are the following:

  1. The design and execution of research projects around the scientific lines of the institute, through the implementation of a management system and a research agenda aimed at generating results.
  2. Participation in the organization and development of interdisciplinary master's and doctoral programs, staff training, courses, seminars, conferences and any other activity related to training. 
  3. Establishing effective procedures for attracting high-quality research, technical, and management personnel, while maintaining and improving human resources. 
  4. Establishing cooperative interactions with other research centers. 
  5. Collaboration with the productive sector for the development of biotechnological applications to specific problems, promoting innovation and the transfer of knowledge and technology. 
  6. The implementation of healthcare innovation, based on the results of clinical and epidemiological research. 
  7. The dissemination and outreach of the concepts and advances of Biomedicine, contributing to the generation of a cultural dynamic favorable to its development.
