Competencies

Competencies are the set of knowledge, skills and attitudes to be acquired by students throughout the degree, aimed at preparing them for the exercise of professional activities.

CB6 – Possess and understand knowledge that provides a basis or opportunity to be original in the development and/or application of ideas, often in a research context

CB7 – Students know how to apply the knowledge acquired and their problem-solving ability in new or little-known environments within broader (or multidisciplinary) contexts related to their area of study.

CB8 – Students are able to integrate knowledge and face the complexity of formulating judgments based on information that, while incomplete or limited, includes reflections on the social and ethical responsibilities linked to the application of their knowledge and judgments.

CB9 – Students should be able to communicate their conclusions and the knowledge and ultimate reasons that support them to specialized and non-specialized audiences in a clear and unambiguous manner

CB10 – Students have the learning skills that will allow them to continue studying in a way that will be largely self-directed or autonomous.

CG1 – Ability to lead, direct and coordinate projects in Institutions and with teams in the field of health care, prioritizing time efficiently while achieving quality standards.

CG2 – Ability to respond to the needs of the patient throughout the life cycle, the family and the community with the planning, provision and evaluation of care programs, in relation to the primary caregiver, the family, the community and social and health agents.

CE1T – Ability to initiate research projects and define the context and variables involved in a research design

CE2T – Apply knowledge of the epidemiological method as a scientific procedure to identify the health problems of a community and their possible causes

CE3T – Ability to lead, direct and coordinate institutions and teams in the care field, prioritizing time efficiently while achieving quality standards

CE4T – Ability to respond to patient needs throughout the life cycle by planning, delivering and evaluating the most appropriate individualised programmes of care, together with the primary carer, family and other health or social workers.

CE5T – Ability to work in a professional ethical context and in regulatory and legal codes, recognizing and responding to ethical or moral dilemmas and issues in daily practice and attending to cultural diversity

CE6G – Relevant knowledge of and ability to apply health planning techniques

CE7G – Knowledge of the Ethical Codes and Legislation that regulate the right to health in Spain and Europe.

CE8G – Ability to represent and advocate for the interests of patients and their families. Within the clinical and community context, ability to educate, facilitate, supervise and support health care students and other social care workers.

CE9G – Training in the fundamentals of management of healthcare organizations and providing practical tools to achieve management skills in the healthcare sector

CE10E – Manage, design and participate in pedagogical innovation programs in Health Education in both public and private institutions.

CE11E – Ability to inform, educate, supervise and maintain effective communication with patients, families and social groups, including those with communication difficulties

CE12E – Carry out health promotion in the population with prevalent problems through the development of different programs adapted for different population groups, according to levels of physical condition and health.

CE13E – Know the principles and methodological techniques in Health Promotion and Education

CE14D – Evaluate and report injuries, after-effects, discomfort, disabilities, etc., that a certain person may have, resulting from accidental, work-related, traffic, or sports accidents, as well as from illnesses caused by both external and internal agents, in order to ensure that appropriate reparation can be made.

CE15D – Analyze the legislative-regulatory, human, material and professional resources available for the management of physical, mental and social disabilities.

CE16D – Ability to generate new knowledge that can be used to develop and elaborate health policies aimed at improving and promoting the well-being and quality of life of disabled, dependent, and end-of-life persons and their families.

CE17D – Ability to carry out prevention of disability and dependency, promotion of health and autonomy of dependent people, specialized intervention, social-health coordination, continuity of care and care for caregivers
