Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

SUBMISSIONS

To submit an article or review to Revista Accadere, registration in our journal is required.

Registration serves not only to submit items online but also to track the status of submissions.

Original manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format and will be published in the language in which they are delivered.

TYPES OF CONTRIBUTIONS

Articles

Manuscripts of 15–30 pages (from the title to the last figure, Times New Roman 12, 1.5 line spacing).

Longer articles (31–55 pages) must justify the extension with a letter of justification.

The abstract must not exceed 200 words and must be submitted in one of the accepted languages and in English.

Keywords, up to a maximum of 5, must be provided in one of the accepted languages and in English.

Up to 10 images may be included (copyright permissions are the responsibility of the author).

Notes / Documents

Manuscripts of a maximum of 12 pages (from the main title page to the last figure, Times New Roman, 1.5 line spacing).

Maximum one figure and one table.

The abstract must not exceed 150 words and must be submitted in one of the accepted languages and in English.

Keywords, up to a maximum of 4, must be provided in one of the accepted languages and in English.

Interview

Contributions between 10 and 12 pages (from the main title page to the last figure, Times New Roman, 1.5 line spacing).

Reviews

Length between 5 and 7 pages (from the main title page to the last figure, Times New Roman, 1.5 line spacing). In the case of reviews of multiple works, the maximum length is 10 pages.

The heading must include the book data: authors (surname, name), (ed., comp., coord., dir.), title of the book in italics, place, publisher, year, number of pages, illustrations if present, etc.

Reviews do not include a bibliography; if notes are included, they must be minimal and strictly necessary.

Only reviews of works published within the last three years will be accepted.

The journal does not commit to publishing unsolicited reviews.

GENERAL FORMATTING INSTRUCTIONS

– The file format must be Microsoft Word.
Times New Roman 12 for text; 10 for notes.
1.5 line spacing.
– Pages numbered consecutively.
A4 page size.
2.5 cm margins.
– The name of the author(s) must not appear in the article text, since this information will be included in the metadata requested by the system upon upload, and must also be provided in a separate document containing: Full Name(s), Academic Degree, Institutional Affiliation, and Email.
– The file name uploaded to the platform must not contain any identifying information.
– The article must include the title centered in uppercase (font size 12).
– After the title, separated by three paragraph breaks, the following must be included: Resumen in Spanish and Palabras clave; then the title in English (small caps), the Abstract, and the Keywords.
– Sections must be numbered consecutively, e.g.: 1. Introduction; 2. State of the Question; 3. Case Studies; 4. Conclusions. The bibliography is not numbered.
– Notes must be placed as footnotes, numbered sequentially, with single spacing. Note markers must appear next to the word, before punctuation. Notes should be mainly clarificatory; references citing only author-year-page should be included directly in the text.
– Ensure that all citations appear in the reference list.
– Short in-text citations (under 40 words) must appear between Spanish quotation marks («…») in roman type. Omissions within citations must be indicated with three dots in brackets […]. If a second level of quotation marks is needed, use double quotation marks (“…”).
– Long quotations (more than three lines) must be placed outside the main text, without quotation marks, with left indentation (1.5 cm), font size 12.
Tables and Figures, in addition to appearing in the text where appropriate, must also be submitted on a separate page, numbered as follows: Fig. 1, Fig. 2, etc. In the text, placement must be indicated as follows: En la pintura de Ciccarelli de 1853 podemos observar… (fig. 1) (figs. 2 y 3).
– All images must be submitted in jpeg, tiff, or EPS, 300 dpi, with captions formatted as follows:

– A separate page must include the author’s data (full name, institutional affiliation, highest academic degree and year of completion, contact email).

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR REFERENCES

In-text citations

In-text citations must follow the author-year APA format (APA 2020, 7th edition). Details can be consulted in the corresponding guidelines.

Reference List

– Appears at the end of the text.
– Surname followed by initials.
– Alphabetical order by surname; when there are multiple works by the same author, list them chronologically.
– The year of publication and volume are required for all references.

Articles that do not comply with these guidelines will be returned to the authors, who may resubmit them once corrections have been made.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMISSION THROUGH THE OJS PLATFORM

– Authors must complete all required personal data during registration in the OJS platform (e.g., full name, email, ORCID, etc.).
– The document submitted for evaluation must contain all metadata required during the OJS submission process.
– Authors must strictly avoid the systematic and indiscriminate use of uppercase letters in metadata. Uppercase must be used only when required, such as in initials of personal names, cities, places, and where RAE conventions apply.
    Example: Avoid LA ICONOGRAFÍA MARIANA EN EL SIGLO XVII EN ESPAÑA. Prefer La iconografía mariana en el siglo XVII en España.
Keywords must be entered individually in the OJS platform.
