Abstract
This study presents the Spanish validation of the Functional Health Pattern Assessment Screening Tool (FHPAST) questionnaire, based on Gordon’s health patterns frame-work. The adaptation was carried out in Primary Care of Tenerife (Canary IslandsPublic Health Service). The tests performed were: FHPAST translation-back translation; face and content validation (with groups of experts); pilot test; criterion and construct validation; and reliability tests. After the results obtained, it is confirmed that the FHPAST adapted to Spanish is a valid, reliable and easy-to-use instrument to assess perceived health.
