Online support

The University Library has a user support service based on chat technology.

Who is it for?

Anyone, whether or not they belong to the university community, can make inquiries about the library, obtaining a real-time response with guarantees of privacy and security.

Use of the service

Aim

The aim of this new service is to respond immediately to user queries about the Library.

Questions that will be answered

  • All questions related to the Library will be answered: about its facilities, equipment, services, resources, opening hours, etc.

Inquiries that will not be answered

  • Loan renewal and reservation requests.
  • Inquiries regarding personal data.
  • Complex bibliographic queries will be referred to the center's libraries.

Privacy

The conversation held in the Chat will be private and the library will respect the confidentiality of the inquiries.

The conversations will be kept for the sole purpose of analyzing them, generating statistics, and making evaluations to offer a better service.

If the user wants to keep a copy of the conversation, they can send it to themselves or print it by clicking on the option that appears in the chat dialog itself.

The Library will request the email address in case of queries that require some delay in the response.

Guidelines for behavior

You will need to:

  • Write clearly
  • Use appropriate language
  • Use short sentences
  • Avoid using all capital letters in the text

Schedule

  • From 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • Weekends and holidays: Disabled

If the chat is disabled, it is recommended to use the inquiry form.
