Group work rooms (carrels)

The University of La Laguna library provides its users with offices that allow for group work, teaching and research.

The use of these spaces is managed solely through a system of book online.

Standards

  • The rooms will be used solely and exclusively for academic purposes. done in groups and linked to study, research and teaching activities.
  • The person making the reservation will be responsible for the integrity and good preservation of the equipment, and will be responsible for leaving the room in perfect condition for the next group.
  • Eating and drinking (except water) are not allowed.
  • The Library may modify the reservation time slots due to service needs.
  • The Library will not be responsible for books or objects left in the rooms.
  • Only one reservation per group per day is allowed, for a maximum of 2 hours. After this period, the room can still be used if there are no other reservations. This right ends when another group books the room.
  • The reservation may be cancelled by the Library staff if the room is not occupied 15 minutes after the scheduled time or in cases where a breach of the regulations is observed.
  • The maximum number of people who can use a lane simultaneously may vary depending on the center. Users must adhere to the established maximum number.
  • These spaces are not soundproofed, so please speak in an appropriate tone.
  • The special rooms may only be used by the groups for which they are intended.

Offices for quiet study (Engineering and Technology)

The BiblioLab (first) is located within the Engineering and Technology Library facilities. Maker space of the University Library) and in its reading rooms group work is allowed with a certain level of noise controlled by a sound level meter.

For quiet study and work, there are 17 reading spaces distributed across four rooms or offices. The use of these spaces is managed solely through a system of book online.

  • The rooms will be reserved individually and exclusively for study and quiet work.
  • The rooms will be used solely and exclusively for academic purposes related to study, research and teaching activities.
  • The person occupying the space will ensure the integrity and good preservation of the equipment, and will be responsible for leaving the room in perfect condition for the next group.
  • Eating and drinking (except water) are not allowed.
  • The Library may modify the reservation time slots due to service needs.
  • The Library will not be responsible for books or objects left in the rooms.
  • Only one reservation per person per day is allowed, for a maximum of 6 hours. After this period, you can continue using the room if there are no other reservations. This right ends when another person reserves the same study space.

Computer Lab

The General and Humanities Library has a Computer Room equipped with 21 computers and a projector.

This room can be used by ULL teaching and research staff for their academic activities, upon prior reservation request through this form.
