Anti-plagiarism service
One of the characteristics of academic information today is its enormous volume and dispersion, which makes it very difficult to know if a work is original or copied to a greater or lesser extent from another source.
To assist teaching and research staff in this task, the ULL has acquired Turnitin, a tool that allows you to compare a work with a huge database of scientific production and determine its degree of originality, presenting a detailed similarity report, very useful for improving quality and avoiding plagiarism.
As a result of this comparison, the tool provides the percentage of originality of the work and shows parts of the text that are found in other documents, and of course it is the teacher's option to evaluate these results provided by the program.
The use of this tool is restricted to Teaching and Research Staff of the ULL
Document requirements:
- The file must be less than 40 MB
- Files must have at least 20 words.
- The maximum length of a paper is 400 pages.
- Allowed file types: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, WordPerfect, PostScript, PDF, HTML, RTF, OpenOffice (ODT), Hangul (HWP), Google Docs and plain text.
Those individuals who, being members of the teaching and research staff of the ULL, wish to interact personally with the tool and generate their own similarity reports, must complete this form to request registration. Once their information is entered into the tool, they will receive an email notification with a temporary password.
