Intellectual property advice

The University of La Laguna (ULL) is a higher education institution whose activity focuses on knowledge generation, which involves the consumption and production of vast amounts of information. Most of this information, as a result of intellectual activity, is subject to intellectual property and copyright regulations. This raises numerous questions about its management, ethical use, legal protection, and so on.

To try to answer these questions, the ULL provides its users with an advisory service on this matter.

Goals

  • To provide guidance on issues arising from the management of intellectual property to all members of the university community through the different communication channels.
  • To establish a forum for debate to discuss and establish common guidelines for action and uniform working procedures in the area of knowledge management and intellectual property.
  • Identify the issues related to intellectual property rights that affect projects developed at the university or by members of the university community in the areas of teaching, management, and research.
  • To support measures and policies that contribute to the proper management of information consumed and produced by all members of the institution

Composition

The intellectual property advisory group is made up of people from different areas of the teaching and research staff (PDI) and administrative and service staff (PAS) of the ULL, with diverse profiles that contribute different points of view on the subject.
