Linking catalog documents
The University Library informs you that you can link to the documents that appear in the library catalog if you are interested in citing them in the virtual classroom, blog, website, etc.
These bibliographic links to the catalog will allow you to let your students know if a document is in the library, which library has copies, the availability of each one, or if there is an electronic version.
How to link to documents found in the library catalog:
1.- Access the Catalog and perform a document search.
2. Once located, you will find a button at the end of the record with the text « Clicking on it will display a link to the document that will look similar to this: http://absysnetweb.bbtk.ull.es/cgi-bin/abnetopac?ACC=DOSEARCH&xsqf99=319956.titn.
3. Copy this link and paste it into your virtual classroom, blog…
IMPORTANT: THIS PROCEDURE IS NOT NECESSARY IN THE CASE OF BIBLIOGRAPHIC RECOMMENDATIONS IN TEACHING GUIDES, BECAUSE THESE ALREADY INCLUDE AN AUTOMATIC LINK TO THE LIBRARY CATALOG.
