Presentation

The University of La Laguna Library is a service that supports study, teaching, and research. It comprises a set of human and material resources organized to assist users in transforming information into knowledge. Its mission is to facilitate access to and dissemination of bibliographic and documentary information resources, thereby contributing to the achievement of the University's objectives.

Services offered

  • Information for users: answering general and specialized queries about funds and services provided by the Library.
  • Electronic resources: tools and instruments for searching, locating and accessing electronic documents and resources (catalogs, metasearch engines, databases, digital press, guides, tutorials, etc.) and material in electronic format (books, magazines, press…).
  • Training: training activities on the service, the Library's resources and information management (search, selection, evaluation and use).
  • Consultation in the waiting room.
  • Home loan using the counters at all service points.
  • Interlibrary loan: obtaining documents not available in the Library.
  • Selection and acquisition of information resources: printed and digital materials suggested by users.
  • Facilities and equipment: reading rooms, group work spaces, conference and exhibition rooms, laptops for loan, reprographics, etc.
  • Library outreach: organization and dissemination of exhibitions, guided tours, conferences, reading club, etc.
