Description
Volleyball is a team sport where two teams face each other on a smooth playing surface, separated by a central net, trying to pass the ball over the net and onto the opponent's court. The ball can be touched or propelled with clean hits, but it cannot be stopped, held, retained, or carried. Each team has a limited number of touches to return the ball to the opponent's court (a maximum of three). The ball is usually hit with the hands and arms, but it can also be hit with any other part of the body. One of the most unique characteristics of volleyball is that players must rotate positions as they score points.
