Student Exchange System between Spanish Universities

The Faculty of Social Sciences and Communication at the University of La Laguna participates in the student exchange program between Spanish universities. This program is based on the SICUE system, which regulates these exchanges.

In practice, this means that students from our center can study for a semester or a full academic year, depending on the host university, at one of the universities with which we have an agreement (Salamanca, Granada, Complutense University of Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Pablo de Olavide University of Seville, Zaragoza, or A Coruña, among others). Based on the learning agreement drawn up before departure, the courses students take at other universities are validated as equivalent to those at our Faculty.

In any case, it is important to note that the possibility of undertaking a study abroad program does not necessarily imply that students will be awarded a specific number of credits. Therefore, it is advisable that those interested in completing part of their studies at another university compare the curriculum of our Faculty with that of the host university and contact the Mobility Coordinator, Professor Patricia Delponti Macchione.vicmov@ull.es).

When applying for a destination, students should consider the degree of implementation and/or discontinuation of the studies and verify that the subjects they wish to study are taught at the destination university.

All information relating to the SICUE call for applications (agreements, places, frequently asked questions, procedure schedule, forms, etc.) here.

International Mobility

The Faculty of Social Sciences and Communication of the University of La Laguna participates in the student exchange system between European universities (ERASMUS).

This allows students to study for a semester or a full academic year at one of the partner universities (universities in Germany, Belgium, Bulgaria, Slovenia, France, Finland, Italy, Portugal, and Poland). Based on a learning agreement drawn up before departure, the courses students take at other universities are validated for credit at our Faculty.

To be eligible for an Erasmus exchange, students must demonstrate a certain level of proficiency in the language of instruction at the host university, which is usually the language of the host country, except in some universities where instruction is in English. Therefore, anyone interested in this type of experience should consider it from the beginning of their studies to ensure they meet the language requirements. The Language Service at the University of La Laguna facilitates language learning for the entire university community.
