The Bachelor's Degree in Biology at the University of La Laguna offers comprehensive training in the study of living beings, from their molecular foundations to their interaction with the environment.

The profession of biologist has the status of a regulated profession, having been recognized as such by the State through the creation of the Official College of Biologists (COB) (Law 75/1980, of December 26) with legally recognized professional competencies, which are included in the COB Statutes.

The Bachelor's Degree in Biology is aimed at students interested in the study of life in all its manifestations: origin and evolution, diversity, structure and functioning, the laws that govern them, and the relationships of living beings with each other and with the environment. The student profile is that of a person with analytical and synthetic skills, observational and deductive abilities, creativity and innovation, a rigorous critical sense, and an interest in research. High school subjects such as mathematics, physics, and chemistry are highly recommended. Knowledge of English is also recommended.
