When the Degree in Biology was designed, it was considered appropriate to offer 80 places. This forecast was based on the number of new students in the Degree in Biology at this Faculty in previous years, as well as on the capacity of the Centre's classrooms and laboratories, and on the teaching methodology to be imparted in the Degree, which indicated that with 80 students, the offer was sufficient to cover the potential demand.
However, the Governing Council of the University of La Laguna at its meeting on 14 May 2010 established that the number of places offered for the Degree in Biology would be 100, considering that this number would better meet the social demand for this degree.
Therefore, at present The number of new admission places is 100.
The selection of new students will be governed by the general academic management regulations of the ULL and in particular those that regulate the selection procedures for admission to University Centers of students who meet the legal requirements for access to the university.
The curriculum consists of a total of 240 European credits (ECTS), distributed over four academic years at a rate of 60 credits per year.

Since the 1999/2000 academic year, the ULL has implemented a Programme for Supporting Students with Disabilities.
